Fluvial Geomorphology

Background

Geomorphic units are the building blocks of riverscapes and a conveneint lens for discriminating fluvial habitats. We looked at the Wheaton et al. (2015) Fluvial Taxonomy for geomorphic units, structural elements and margins in riverscapes, which is an extension of the River Styles Framework. We used this as the basis for reading and describing ecohydraulic habitats.
